How the numbers are built
Alvys trip miles = mileage on Alvys trips covered by the fleet (Truck is one of our A100-A179 units; brokered trips on outside carriers are ignored), counted in the month the trip delivered (TotalMileage on the trip - practical miles - unless a Practical field exists; empty/deadhead-only fields are never used). Cancelled, TONU and quoted trips are excluded.
Samsara miles = distance driven from Samsara's vehicle fuel & energy report for the calendar month (ECM/GPS telemetry).
Tractor diesel gallons = the "Diesel Gallons" column of the Love's export (or diesel product rows), from CSVs in the script folder plus any dropped on this page. Month assignment follows the miles: a fill is burned between that fill and the truck's next fill, so its gallons are spread over those days in proportion to the Samsara miles driven each day and counted in the month each day belongs to. A tank bought on July 31 and driven August 1-3 is August fuel. The "bought in month" figure in the KPI is the plain purchase-month total for reference. Reefer diesel and DEF are shown in their own columns and are never part of MPG. Cost is the gross tractor diesel amount from the export (before card discounts).
Real MPG = Samsara miles ÷ tractor diesel gallons. Fleet MPG only counts trucks that have both miles and fuel that month. Green = at or above the driver's target, amber below it, red outside 3.0-10.0 (bad data). Settlement MPG is not shown; Alvys trip miles are kept only to split a truck's miles and fuel between its drivers and to tell B1 from CDL.
Driver(s) = Driver 1 / Driver 2 on the Alvys trips for that truck (share = trip miles). When Alvys has no trips for the truck that month, the Love's cardholder is used (share = gallons) and tagged fuel card.
Team / Solo (truck) = Team when trips carrying two drivers make up at least 30% of the truck's settlement miles that month (fuel-card fallback: two cardholders each with 30% of gallons). Force a truck with TEAM_UNITS / SOLO_UNITS at the top of the script.
Driver miles = each driver gets half of every 2-driver trip plus all of their solo trips, from Alvys; a driver who ran solo while their partner was off is credited for those solo miles alone. Fuel and MPG follow the same split. A driver who ran more than one truck in the month gets one row with every truck listed (share of their miles and that truck's MPG next to each) and their miles and fuel from all of them combined; their Real MPG is the combined figure. The driver's Team / Solo label uses their own miles: Team when at least 50% were on 2-driver trips, Mixed when some were, Solo otherwise.
B1 / CDL = in order: driver_types.csv next to the script (one line per driver:
fleet_mpg_trips.csv is written next to the script every run with every fleet trip counted (unit, month, load, dates, miles, drivers, origin) for auditing.
Bonus = driver qualifies when the Real MPG of the truck they were on is at least 7.0 for CDL or 7.25 for B1 (unknown license type uses the CDL target) and they drove at least 1,000 miles that month; a driver on two trucks appears twice with their share of each. The OK checkboxes are for your review on screen and are not saved.
OTR fleet / Local trucks = the toggle in the header switches the whole page between the OTR fleet and the local trucks (A174, A175). Local trucks are never included in fleet or brand averages, the bonus list, or the trend; set LOCAL_UNITS at the top of the script to change the list.
Fuel coverage = a month is green when fills run from within 3 days of the 1st through within 3 days of the last day; amber when there are fills but the export does not reach both ends; the current month is always amber.
Monthly MPG carries a little noise because a tank bought on the 31st is burned in the next month; it averages out over 2-3 months.
